The Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Technologies (BS AET) is a degree offered by the Center of Arts and Entertainment Technologies and a component of the Undergraduate 2016-2018 degree catalogue. The internal transfer/major change process is for current UT Austin students who are applying to enter the College of Fine Arts and the BS AET degree program.
UT Austin students who have completed no more than four long semesters (fall or spring) in-residence or 60 hours in-residence are eligible for internal transfer. Current UT Austin students who have completed more than four long semesters in residence and are accepted into the program must petition the College of Fine Art’s Dean’s Office for a major change. A successful petition is not guaranteed.
Note: We will not be accepting applications for simultaneous majors, only students who want a complete major change.
Priority consideration will be given to those who demonstrate a timely pathway to graduation. A minimum GPA of 2.5 will be mandatory to be considered. Current UT Austin students should review the university’s policies on internal transfer.
Have any questions or academic concerns? Email or schedule an in-person appointment with Chris Montes, Academic Advisor for Special Initiatives, to explore your current graduation timeline and options for potentially adding AET coursework to your schedule.
The application is open until Friday, March 10th at 11:59pm!
