Freshman

The Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Technologies is a new degree approved for the 2016-2018 catalog. This degree will give priority consideration to applicants qualifying for automatic admission to The University of Texas at Austin. No additional portfolio or audition is considered for admission.

Applicants for Fall 2018: A select group of College of Fine Arts applicants will be offered admission to Fine Arts Undeclared in preparation for summer orientation. After advising and registration, their major will be updated to Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Technologies.

An additional group of applicants qualifying for automatic admission will be offered the opportunity to indicate Arts and Entertainment Technologies as their preferred major through their MyStatus page after February 15th. Fine Arts Undeclared will display as their major in preparation for summer orientation. After advising and registration, their major will be updated to Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Technologies.

Future applicants: Beginning with the ApplyTexas application for Fall 2018, students may select the Bachelor of Science in Arts and Entertainment Technologies as their first- or second-choice major on ApplyTexas. Though optional, we recommend that you submit a resume highlighting your involvement in the visual and performing arts, technology-related hobbies or student organizations and other experiences that have informed your interest in the arts and entertainment technologies.
